Lethbridge Arms
02. Jul 2010 at 18:57

Has anyone from this Forum been to the Lethbridge Arms since it reopened recently? I haven't been there for years (since the days there was a silhouete picture of my Dad and some old time regulars on the wall in the bar.) I'd be interested to read anyone's comments , i.e. what is the food and atmosphere like?

Maybe none of the forum members have been there yet. I guess I'll have to come over and find out what The Lethbridge is like for myself, then (see if it's much different from when we used to just call it The Gore.)

I think the main problem is that the forum isn't widely used yet.
Maybe things will take off in time.  Wink

RE: The Lethbridge, I used to go there a lot but haven't been since it's reopened. I will go soon and let you know.

we have been!!!!!

personally we did not have a great experience (god i am so negative) because the first two times that we visited we were turned away as they had no space...although the pub appeared empty! (maybe we dont look acceptable with three children?)

the third time we finally got a table, however there was no children's menu, even though it stated families were welcome. There was nothing really appealing on the menu and the prices were a little steep for what there was.

We finished our drinks (after waiting 15mins for them) and left!!!!

the loud and offensive swearing by the people sat at the bar was not apprieciated either seeing as we had young children in tow, as did other people.

Having said this......friends of ours enjoyed it when they went!

I read in the gazette this week that they were only awarded one star  Sad

I also read the report that they only achieved one star and have heard from someone else who lives in the village that it is not so good.

What about The Bell? Any better?
